Shot on a Soviet Quarz.
A gonzo protest short, produced with Palm Beach Indivisibles. Nikon Z8.
Graveyards, Baphomet and New England, on Kodak Vision3.
Born in Brooklyn in 1981. Raised in Miami, where I came up in the punk scene and never really left. Most of what I shoot is the people who keep it going.
I'm based in South Florida, and Chuck Livid Productions is the name my small, trusted guerrilla crew works under. It's also the company I bill through. The work travels: I shoot tours and fests across the U.S., from Atlanta, Philly, NYC and Chicago to Denver and Las Vegas, and I make films in Colombia, where I shot Instinto in Medellín.
I shoot Super 8 and 16mm and develop black and white in-house. My digital work is all Nikon: RED, ZR, Z8 and Zfc. Medium format is a Kiev 60 and a Bronica SQ, and 35mm is a Nikon F5 and a Contax TVS.
The work runs from music videos and concert docs to gonzo shorts and home movies.
The filmmakers whose work moved me, stuck with me and pulled me into cinema for good. I owe every one of them.
I'm extremely picky about the work I put my name on.
Paid gigs, plus free work for causes and artists I believe in. Either way, our values around LGBTQ+ rights, immigration and basic human rights have to line up before anything moves forward. Read the house rules ↗
